Masahide Sasaki received his Ph.D. degree in physics from Tohoku University, Sendai Japan, in 1992. During 1992-1996, he worked on the development of semiconductor devices in JFE Holdings. In 1996, he joined National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT). He has been working on quantum communication and quantum. He is presently Director General of Quantum ICT Collaboration Center, and NICT Fellow.
