(Note that all participants of QCrypt 2015 and UQCC 2015 are automatically invited to the Public Lecture. No further registration is necessary.)
Quantum cryptography aims to achieve security from fundamental physical principles, such as the quantum mechanical phenomena of entanglement and Heisenberg’s uncertainty principle. QCrypt 2015 (5th International Conference on Quantum Cryptography) is a conference for students and researchers working on quantum cryptography and related quantum information science and technology.
In QCrypt, it is a tradition to have a public lecture in which the world leading scientists in this research field provide an introductory lecture of quantum information for non-specialists. This year, we have two distinguished lecturers, Prof. Kae Nemoto from NII and Prof. Artur Ekert from University of Oxford, who will talk on the introduction of quantum information science as well as the cutting-edge of its technological developments and the impact on our future society.
Date: September 28 (Mon), 2015, 18:30 – 19:40
Venue: Hitotsubashi hall in National Center of Science (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo)
Lecturers:
- Professor Kae Nemoto (National Institute of Informatics (NII), Japan)
- Professor Artur Ekert (University of Oxford, UK)
Language: Japanese and English (with simultaneous interpretations)
No admission charges, but if you are not a QCrypt/UQCC participant, we kindly ask you to register via the following form. If you are interested in more details of the quantum cryptography technology, please also visit UQCC 2015 held in the same day which is a half day event of demonstrating the latest technology of quantum cryptography.
